Atomic insights of electronic states engineering of GaN nanowires by Cu cation substitution for highly efficient lithium ion battery

Cu-GaN nanowires were prepared via CVD method. The orbital hybridization of Cu 3d and N 2p states systematically reveal the obvious bandgap decrease. This phenomenon is important to achieving fast ion diffusion kinetics and high capacity.
