Experimental Study On Melting Behavior Of The Noise Reduction Board (Box-In) In Converter Substation Under Fire

摘要
The melting behavior of the noise reduction board (Box-in) in converter substation were investigated experimentally. The temperature curves, the infrared image of temperature, the radiation heat flow curves in the experiment were obtained, and the melting and falling behavior of two types of noise reduction boards as well as the fire extinguishing process were discussed. The experimental result showed that both of the two types of noise reduction boards would melt and fall when they were heated by fire. The melting and falling of the Box-in could provide favorable conditions for fire-fighting operation outside the Box-in. In this study, the hot transformer oil pool fire was extinguished successfully by using the water tower fire truck, and the fire extinguishment time was 224 s.
