A Millimeter-Wave Interferometric Radiometer For Atmosphere Observation From Geostationary Orbit

In this paper, the advantages of a microwave interferometeric sounder for atmospheric observation from geostationary orbit are introduced firstly. Then the major system parameters and application indices of the system are listed and the system design scheme is outlined. Furthermore, the four parts of the system, antenna, mm-wave receiver, wide band quadrature IF receiver and high speed digital unit, are stated in detail. At the same time, the difficulties needed to be solved further are pointed out.
