摘要
Objective: The laparoscopic treatment of eventrations and Ventral hernias has barely been used in the array of laparoscopic techniques, although it is one of the most exact indications. Methods: Between January 1994 and Noveember 1999, a series of 200 patients suffering from major abdominal wall defects were operated on by means of the laparoscopic technique. Results: Average surgery time was 64 minutes. Minor complications included 2 abdominal wall emphysema, 28 seromas, and 4 subcutaneous hematomas. There were no infections at the entry points. Four patients developed hernia relapse (2%).Conclusions: The laparoscopic technique makes it possible to avoid major incisions, the placement of drainages and produces a lower number of seromas, infections and relapses.
