Promoting College Students To Enhance Self-Learning About Quantitative Analysis Instruments Through Association

The successful utilization of modern instruments by the college students is not only important for fostering their capability and creativity, but also can be useful in promoting them to do self-learning. Different quantitative analysis instruments often have the similar procedures for measuring a material concentration. In this report, a self-learning model was developed, where ultraviolet visible spectrophotometer was taught in details firstly. Later, the students were encouraged to do self-learning about the applications of high efficiency liquid chromatography. Through effective association and correlation, the students showed good performance in their active self-learning processes.
