Abstract
Kelvin source Green's function is one of foundations in ship wave problems within the framework of potential flow theory. In the present paper, the behavior of wavelike disturbance of Kelvin source Green's function and its integrand are explicitly analyzed. Most difficulties in ship wave problems result from the infinite multipliers and high-frequency oscillating behavior in the integrand of wavelike disturbance. Analytical expressions of integral of wavelike disturbance along line segment and its partial derivatives are derived to decrease the order of infinite multiplier and the amplitude of oscillation function. A new accurate and efficient scheme for the integral of Green's function on space lines and over panels is proposed. Based on Neumann-Kelvin theory, ship wave problems of both Wigley Hull and Series 60 is well evaluated by present method.
