摘要
With a grant from the Moore Foundation to distribute eclipse glasses and information nationwide through thousands of public libraries, the present author was designated to do eclipse outreach in the San Francisco Bay Area, where the Foundation is located. He worked with seven library systems, helping both librarians and patrons to get ready for the eclipse, and with a variety of outreach organizations. He was ultimately able to give 26 public lectures (plus two lectures not open to the public), 22 radio interviews, 7 podcast or web interviews, 3 TV interviews, 3 newspaper interviews, and 7 webinars for educators, all without leaving the Bay Area. Also, the publisher of two eclipse -related books (for which he was co-author), provided a stable website for a free booklet of eclipse information for teachers, students, and the public.
