摘要
Lymphocyst is an accumulation of lymph fluid in the retroperitoneum that occurs following pelvic and/or para-aortic lymphadenectomy. Although they are frequently asymptomatic, lymphocysts can cause pain, inflammation, compression of the surrounding organs and deep vein thrombosis. This paper proposes a retrospective analysis of the complications of the lymphatic system resulting from the lymphadenectomies performed in genital cancer cases. We conducted a retrospective analysis that included 72 patients with genital cancer diagnosed from January 2017 to July 2018 which had undergone radical hysterectomy. Of these, we have encountered 4 cases with complications of the lymphatic system. Following the analysis, the incidence, risk factors, diagnostic options, complications and therapeutic conduct associated with lymphocysts were identified. Limfocyst is a frequently overlooked complication in surgical oncology but it is a pathological entity that can significantly reduce the quality of life of patients with gynecological cancers. Therapeutic conduct is reserved only for symptomatic lymphocysts.
