摘要
In 2016, Paul Levinson and Petar Jandric co-authored a dialogue about the relationships between media theory, human learning and science fiction. Published as a small book, From Media Theory to Space Odyssey: Petar Jandric interviews Paul Levinson, and reprinted in Jandric's book Learning in the Age of Digital Reason, the unique positioning of the dialogue between academic research and artist talk has provoked a lot of interest. In this chapter, Levinson and Jandric embark on a new dialogic inquiry about the relationships between children, pedagogy and science fiction. Levinson and Jandric seek knowledge and inspiration about the relationships between children, pedagogy and science fiction beyond borders of academic disciplines, and beyond the distinction between academic inquiry and the practice of writing fiction. At the expense of breaking several academic conventions, the dialogue between Levinson and Jandric creates a meta-theory which synthesises diverse approaches to reality and offers fresh insights into complex relationships between children, pedagogy and science fiction.
