Research On China'S Power System Security Strategy Based On Risk Control Of Snow Disasters

At the turn of this year, most areas in southern part of China suffered from an unprecedented snow disaster, which caused severe damages to the electric power system due to its broad coverage, long duration and high intensity. The disaster exposed some existing problems in our electric power system, like standards of constructing power networks, electric power planning, power generation distribution, emergency mechanism and so on. Based on a thorough analysis of these problems and the weak links in China's power system, the current article presents some suggestions and strategies of strengthening the security of China's electric power system from the aspect of emergency mechanism, electric power planning, designing and construction management, power grid structures, power generation distribution and electric power generation technologies.
