Magnetic and Magnetocaloric Properties in Double Perovskite Multiferroic Y2NiMnO6 Nanoparticle

Herein, we have investigated magnetic and magnetocaloric effect (MCE) of Double Perovskite multiferroic Y2NiMnO6 Nanoparticle, prepared by successive microwave processing method. The sample is characterized by X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM). Magnetization (M) vs Temperature (T) shows a ferromagnetic (FM) to paramagnetic (PM) transition at Curie temperature (TC) similar to 82 K. A large value of magnetic entropy change (Delta SM) similar to 4.96 Jkg-1K-1 and Relative cooling power (RCP) of 191.3 J kg-1 are observed across its TC due to filed change of 50 kOe. The material will be useful for commercial magnetic refrigeration.
