Work Variables And Work-Family Conflict: How Does It Affect The Hotel Managers In Malaysia?

The hotel industry is very dynamic and operates 24/7. This requires its employees to smartly manage their work responsibility so that it will be balanced with their family commitments. This study surveyed 133 hotel employees holding supervisory, executives or middle management level in Kuala Lumpur five-star hotels. This study examined whether Work Variable (WV) has an affect toward the employees' Work Family Conflict (WFC). This research utilized self-administered questionnaires and result revealed that the work variable had a negative influence and shows insignificant relationship towards work-family conflict.
