Advances On Paclitaxel Biosynthesis In Taxus

Tremendous progress has been made recently on elucidating paclitaxel biosynthetic pathway, molecular cloning of genes involved in paclitaxel biosynthesis and developing methods to regulate the production of paclitaxel, especially in culture induced by elicitor. This article summarizes recent progress on the above area and provides a current overview of research on taxane production by biological method.
