摘要
A Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a technique which produces the detailed image of the human organ. MRI is based on the principle of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), which is a spectroscopic procedure to find chemical and physical data about particles present inside the human body. In MRI, the RF surface coils are used as a key component. RF Surface coils are more profound to signal close to the coil, which is used for the better signal reception for identifying signals from the organ of interest. Designing of RF coils made conciliation between creating a uniform magnetic field to obtain a better SNR. As compared to a smaller coil, the large size coil will produce a more uniform magnetic field but smaller coil obtains better SNR than the larger coil. This paper proposing a design of 4 channel RF circular coil for spine scan. The coils are used to receive signals from the patient's body at Larmor frequency (63.87MHz). The spine MRI will work on the frequency bandwidth of 600KHz with the quality factor of 106.45. The return loss obtained for the 4 channel RF coils are -21 dB, -15 dB, -13.5 dB and -14 dB respectively. The same design rules will be applicable for designing more number of coils which will be used in spine scan MRI.
