Experimental Study On Seismic Behaviors Of Cellular Steel Frames

Pseudo-static tests with a cellular frame structure were conducted under low-cyclic repeated loading. Thereby, hysteretic curves and skeleton curves of horizontal load-displacement and horizontal load-joint rotation were determined when the vertical load in the structure was unchanged. Also the hysteretic behaviors, ductility, energy dissipation ability, and rigidity degeneration of this structure under seismic action were studied. The hysteretic behaviors of cellular frames were investigated to build a restoring model. Also the force mechanism and failure mode of light-weight steel frames under seismic action were analyzed. The seismic behaviors of cellular frames were comprehensively evaluated. This study underlines further research on the behaviors of cellular frames and provides some reference for engineering application.
