Formation Of Iodoantimonates And Bismutates - Crystal-Structures Of (Phch(2)Net(3))(4)[Sb6i22], (Phch(2)Net(3))(4)[Bi6i22] And (Ph(4)P)(3)[Bi5i18]

The formation and the crystal structures of the title compounds are reported. (PhCH(2)NEt(3))(4)[Sb6I22] and (PhCH(2)NEt(3))(4)[Bi6I22] are isotypic and contain a novel [E(6)I(22)](4-) anion (E = Sb, Bi). The anion of (Ph(4)P)(3)[Bi5I18] consists of a linear chain of five face-sharing [BiI6] octahedra.
