摘要
•We deposited textured crystalline YIG thin films on Si (100) by PLD technique.•Cheap substrate without magnetic ions that interfere with film magnetism.•We achieved perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA) in 40–120 nm range YIG films.•The interfacial strain and lattice distortion yields PMA in YIG thin films.•We observed multiple spin wave modes in all YIG thin films with PMA.
