摘要
This article aims to present the benefits and risks for the diagnosis and management of testosterone deficiency (TD). These are best practice recommendations. They were developed by the Francophone Society of Sexual Medicine (SFMS) and the Committee of Andrology and Sexual Medicine of the French Association of Urology (AFU), which brought together a panel of experts. They used the method of recommendations for clinical practice (RCP). Treatment with androgens aims at symptomatic improvement with the fewest possible side effects, with progressive and differential kinetics on sexual and non-sexual symptoms (metabolic, bone demineralization, erythropoiesis, cognitive function, mood, etc.). The benefits are therefore multiple, on sexual satisfaction but also on the general quality of life with the benefits on metabolism, bone density, muscle mass and psychological state.Conclusion. - These recommendations should help improve the management of TD.
