Groundwater Vulnerability Assessment Using Gis Based Modified Drastic Model In Nanchang City, China

Groundwater vulnerability analysis addresses the degree of sensitivity of groundwater system towards the changes in both intrinsic/inherent and extrinsic factors. In this work, an integrated AHP-GIS based modified DRASTIC method was followed to conduct the impact of various hydrogeological indicators towards groundwater vulnerability in Nanchang city. The results show that the DRASTIC-LU model could accurately identify the vulnerability of groundwater with prediction efficiency about 70.3%, and more than 20% of groundwater has a high pollution potential due to shallow groundwater table, high hydraulic conductivity and agricultural irrigation.
