摘要
Based on a clinical assessment of composite CAD/CAM crowns, an up-todate clinical and laboratory methodology for restoration of damaged deciduous teeth in the lateral region of the dentition was approved.Forty six (46) crowns of high impact polymer composite (HIPC) (Bredent, Germany), manufactured by using the CAD/CAM system (Schutz Dental, Germany), and fastened on the deciduous molars of temporary and mixed dentitions were examined in 31 children (13 boys and 18 girls, average age 6.5 +/- 1.5 years). The clinical assessment at six months after restorative treatment was directed to three medical-biological parameters and the analysis of occlusal forces with OccluSense (Bausch, Germany). Marginal adaptation, oral hygiene, gingival health, retention, wear/abrasion, distribution of occlusal forces, colour and surface of the crowns were studied. The obtained results have shown excellent marginal adaptation, plaque index (0.88 +/- 0.53) and modified gingival index (0.97 +/- 0.52); excellent retention (87%); preserved occlusal relief (63%), smooth and polished surfaces (67.4%) with no colour change (82.6%).The proposed methodology allows for optimal outcomes in relation to prophylaxis, function and esthetics, with individually tailored virtual modelling of the constructions.
