Modeling and control for a three-phase interleaved bidirectional DC-DC energy storage converter

摘要
In this paper, a bidirectional DC-DC energy storage converter based on interleaved technique is proposed, which can work on continuous charge/discharge mode having greatly enhanced reliability and accuracy for battery energy management. The small signal model of a three-phase interleaved bidirectional DC/DC converter in boost mode is built and analyzed. In order to get a more realistic model, this paper proposed a modeling method that takes the interaction of three-phase current into account. In boost mode, DC/DC converter is controlled to discharge the battery while maintaining the DC bus voltage. In order to reduce the ripple of discharge current, the control strategy consists of phase shift segment. Therefore, the discharge current fluctuation is thereby effectively reduced, which prolongs battery life. Finally, the simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.
