Selective C(Sp(3))-H Activation Of Simple Alkanes: Visible Light-Induced Metal-Free Synthesis Of Phenanthridines With H2o2 As A Sustainable Oxidant

The visible light-induced metal-free C(sp(3))-H phenanthridinylation of simple alkanes with isonitrile is developed with H2O2 as a terminal green oxidant. This reaction features good yields and selectivities, mild conditions, and a broad substrate scope with gaseous alkanes involved, allowing practical access to valuable alkyl-substituted phenanthridine derivatives.
