摘要
Triggered by the electroweak symmetry spontaneous breaking, the Higgs Boson provides mass to fundamental particles and ensures the unitarity safety of the vector Boson scattering. This scattering is crucial for testing the Higgs mechanism, and it can also be used to probe new physics beyond the standard model. In this paper, after a brief introduction of the standard model Higgs theory, we present a detailed review of the research on the vector Boson scattering. This review includes an early study on the two same-charged W Boson based on Monte Carlo samples, the searches for vector Boson scattering and studies on beyond standard model physics using data collected by the compact muon solenoid (CMS) experiment during Run I in 2012 and Run II in 2016-2018 as well as the recently achieved first measurement of polarized vector Boson scattering.
