Recent Progress In The Development Of Chemodosimeters For Fluorescence Visualization Of Phosgene

Compared with other real-time detection technologies, reaction-based fluorescent probes has become a powerful supporting tool for effectively detecting target object with high temporal and spatial resolution, less negative influence, and rapid response time. Due to the indispensable position of phosgene (COCl2) in manufacturing industries, fluorescent probes for the detection of this high toxicity material have continually increased in numbers in recent years. These probes offered various molecular design strategies and powerful sensing means in native environments. In this review, we summarized the research progress of probes for fluorescence sensing of phosgene. We are focused on the detection mechanisms, photophysical performances and practical applications of the sensors for phosgene. Based on different design strategies, the sensors are divided into four categories, which will be described respectively.
