摘要
Ensuring quality and non-problematic testing of students' knowledge is one of the key goals of universities and their faculties. Today, there are many new and innovative forms of testing that can complement or in some cases fully replace conventional ones. In the context of testing students' clinical knowledge in some subjects, one of the methods used is Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). This method is very effective despite the heavy workload and the need to train employees. OSCE is newly introduced at the Faculty of Medicine of the Masaryk University, especially within two completely innovated courses Propaedeutics and First Aid. These courses are undergoing a significant change within the framework of re-accreditation and connection to the newly built Simulation centre of Masaryk University. Moreover, the SIMUportfolio integration platform significantly helps with the entire OSCE-connected processes, offering the functionality needed to define OSCE stations and exams, evaluate in real time, and summarise student outcomes along with feedback. This article describes two innovated courses and their connection to the new style of testing through OSCE. Furthermore, the SIMUportfolio platform is described from the technical and methodological point of view, with a focus on electronic support of students' evaluation.
