摘要

•A simultaneous detection method of TYLCV and ToCV by multiplex RT-PCR was developed.•This method enabled to detect the two viruses from a single whitefly in simple.•A DNA extraction procedure was modified and adopted to obtain RNA–DNA mixture.•The assay would enable efficient use of field samples to monitor infection status.
