Modeling and Analysis of the Electrolyte Voltage Drop in Dielectrophoresis Actuators

摘要
Finite Element Method is used to model the voltage drop inside dielectrophoresis actuators. Frequency dependence is investigated for varying electrochemical conditions and actuator geometries. A hands-on equation to calculate the operation cut off frequency with respect to the electrode geometry is derived. Lumped element modeling is validated by verifying spatial effects across actuator arrays to be negligible.
