Engineering of CIGS nanoparticle inks for colloidal stability, uniform film formation and application as HTL for perovskite solar cells

•Simple and facile synthesis of CIGS nanoparticle and prepare stable ink.•Propose new fast and simple method to predict stability of dielectric nanoparticle ink.•Primary prediction of suitable solvent for stable ink by UV–Vis spectroscopy by time.•Find a method to deposit uniform and crack-free layer by chloroform by intelligently simple step.•Fabrication perovskite solar cell with CIGS as hole transport layer by efficiency about 16.5%.
