WITHDRAWN: MicroRNA-27b-3p targets and down-regulates E2F7 to inhibit clear cell renal cell carcinoma progression

Abstract Objective This study attempted to investigate function of microRNA-27b-3p/E2F7 axis in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). Methods Bioinformatics analysis, luciferase reporter gene assay and western blot assays were applied to confirm target genes of microRNA-27b-3p. Cell functional assays were carried out to explore influences of microRNA-27b-3p on growth of ccRCC cells. Results MmicroRNA-27b-3p showed low expression level in ccRCC, which was prominently linked with adverse prognosis of ccRCC patients. MicroRNA-27b-3p could remarkably repress proliferation, migration and invasion of ccRCC cells, and boost cell apoptosis. Further studies proved that microRNA-27b-3p restrained malignant progression of ccRCC cells by modulating E2F7. Conclusion MicroRNA-27b-3p/E2F7 exerts a crucial function in progression of ccRCC, and may lay a theoretical foundation for prognosis and treatment of ccRCC patients.
