Study on Reconstruction Algorithm of X-ray Fluorescence Computed Tomography based on L1/2-norm and Expectation-Maximum

As a molecular imaging mode, X-ray fluorescence computed tomography (XFCT) has the problems of long scanning time and high radiation dose, which commonly needs to reduce the radiation time. In this study, we increased the projection interval to reduce the number of projections, so as to reduce the radiation time, and a computed tomography reconstruction algorithm based on L1/2-norm was presented. Numerical simulations indicate that, compared with the traditional MLEM algorithm, the RMSE of the proposed algorithm is smaller and the UQI is closer to 1 when the projection is sparse, which achieves the goal of better reconstructed image quality under the condition of larger projection interval.
