Joint User Association and Resource Allocation for MmWave and THz Coexistence Networks

With the development of information technology and the continuous increase of user demand, how to cope with the limitation of spectrum resources becomes a tough problem. Meanwhile, terahertz communication technology has become a key candidate technology to solve the above challenges. Taking advantage of the small propagation range and high bandwidth of terahertz, the coexistence network of millimeter wave and terahertz can effectively increase the communication rate of users in theory. So this paper considers the joint user association and power allocation of millimeter wave and terahertz, and solves the objective function through Lagrangian duality and gradient iteration algorithm. The simulation results show that the coexistence of millimeter wave and terahertz can greatly improve the system throughput and the achievable transmission rate of users.
