摘要
Stimulating the acupoints with an acupuncture needle or electro-acupuncture can directly or indirectly cause the changes of organs, tissues, cells, molecules, and other chemical substances, then affects physiological or pathological functions in the human body or experimental animals. Those acupoint stimulation effects can be measured by laboratory tests or clinical observations, which has been reported in large amounts of paper. AcuEBase v 1.0, the acupoint stimulation effect visualization platform aims to display the acupuncture effects that combine detailed acupoint stimulation interventions (acupuncture, acupuncture techniques, acupoints, treatment courses, etc.) with corresponding effect information. The database contains literature related to animal acupuncture experiments, which are currently included in a total of 14,28 4 articles from the year 1956-2019, involving 459 acupuncture points, 19,943 acupuncture point frequency, 7,565 acupuncture effect frequency. The platform can provide the graphic representation of data from multiple dimensions including diseases, acupuncture points, acupuncture effects, and acupuncture method. It can help researchers to filter literature, understand research status, and make an experimental plan. It provides standardized data support for in-depth research on the biological mechanism of acupuncture, as well as auxiliary data visualization and literature retrieval tools.
