•The molecular endometrial cancer (EC) classification has independent prognostic value among women with high-grade EC.•P53 abnormal EC have a poor clinical outcome, also those staged by lymphadenectomy as stage I.•Patients with POLE-ultramutated EC have an excellent clinical outcome even when not receiving adjuvant treatment.
