A settlement safety assessment method of liquefied natural gas tank based on belief rule base

In the settlement safety assessment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) tank, there are some problems, such as lack of high-value samples and uncertainty of parameters. Compared with the traditional settlement assessment method, the belief rule base (BRB) model is an effective safety assessment modeling tool by using qualitative knowledge and quantitative information to solve the lack of high-value samples and describe uncertainties. Therefore, a settlement safety assessment method of LNG tanks based on BRB is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the key factors of assessment method is established and calculated through mechanism analysis and the new Fourier series method. Then, the factor weight is determined by the information entropy method to avoid the inaccurate parameter setting caused by vagueness intrinsic to human knowledge. Finally, a case study in a 160,000 m 3 LNG tank shows that it has a good performance in safety assessment.
