Presentation of CaseA 29-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital because of hirsutism and amenorrhea.Menarche occurred at the age of 12 years, with regular menses preceded by one day of mild cramps; she frequently experienced mittelschmerz. At the age of 21 years a pregnancy was terminated, and she began to use an oral contraceptive medication. Six months later ankle edema appeared, and the medication was discontinued.
