摘要
In this paper, a comparative analysis of the performance of power amplifiers' behavioral models using forward twin-nonlinear two-box structure is presented. Three models using different basis functions for the modeling of the nonlinear behavior exhibited by the device under test are benchmarked using two high efficiency power amplifiers prototypes. While the conventional forward twin-nonlinear two-box model does not accurately model the behavior of the two devices under test for the considered operating conditions, the hybrid forward-twin nonlinear two-box model is found to perform better, and the generalized twin-nonlinear two-box model leads to the best accuracy under all conditions. This shows that despite its inherent complexity, the generalized twin-nonlinear two-box model is needed in cases where highly nonlinear strong dynamic distortions are present.
