Naturally and hydraulically fractured reservoirs

Abstract This chapter will overview some of the unique properties of hydraulic and natural fractures. The monitoring, observation, and diagnostics of fracture complexity in unconventional reservoirs shows the significant challenges to accurately simulate multiphase flow in such reservoirs using traditional reservoir simulators.
