Critical Factors Identification of New-Type Community Governance in the Context of Rural Revitalization Strategy in China

Nowadays, under the background of rural revitalization strategy, along with the process of new-type urbanization in China, villagers are experiencing role transaction: a shift from agricultural population to urban residents. Urban residents are always community-based, and the new-type rural community for villagers brings challenges of new-type community governance. Therefore, this paper aims to explore the key factors affecting the new-type community governance for its significant role in achieving rural revitalization in China. Firstly, the current situation of new-type rural communities and the problems existing in its governance in China are analyzed. Secondly, to identify the key factors affecting new community governance, the typical cases of community governance in both China and other countries are studied, combining literature review on community governance. Finally, suggestions concerning new-type community governance in China are provided to researchers and practitioners.
