Food and nutritional Education (EAN, in the Portuguese acronym) aims to contribute to the promotion and protection of health through adequate and healthy eating. That being said, this paper presents an experience report of workshops about food and nutritional education which used playful activities to train school cooks to meet the objectives of the National Program of School Food (PNAE, in the Portuguese acronym). The EAN strategies were evaluated through questionnaires answered before and after the workshops. The questionnaires demonstrated satisfactory results after the educational activities.
