Phytomedicinal Properties of Cynodon Dactylon (L.) Pers. (durva) in Its Traditional Preparation and Extracts

•We aimed to quantify the chemical markers and phytoconstituents in Cynodon dactylon (L.) pers. extracts.•This study offers technological (lyophilisation) support for the translation of traditional formulations for long shelf utilisation for therapeutic purposes.•We translated the pharmacological properties of jeevaniya (antioxidant), sheetaveerya (anti-inflammatory), and vranya (wound-healing/ immunomodulator). of Cynodon dactylon (L.) pers., (durva) described in the Ayurvedic literature.
