A Ku-Band High-Power Low-Pass Waveguide Filter with Spurious Rejection

A Ku-band high-power low-pass filter with spurious passband suppression up to 32 GHz is proposed to this paper. Using fast mode-matching Technology method, both ends are the same four quarter-wave-length stepped transformers, the middle is a piece of mold parts, opened 6 transverse grooves, 5 longitudinal slots, a total of 30 metal segments, the first and the last one longitudinal slot position at the end of the transformer. The absolute bandwidth of the filter are 10 to 15 GHz, relative bandwidth is 40%. The overall size is lower than the similar performance index products that can be found, the performance index reaches the domestic and international advanced level. The key problems of the current Ku/Ka dual-frequency satellite antenna are solved.
