Simulation of Liquid Argon Flow in Micro-Channel by an SPH-MD Coupling Method

In this paper,a coupling smoothed particle hydrodynamics(SPH) and molecular dynamics (MD) method is constructed.Using this numerical scheme,the liquid argon flow is simulated under different driving force for different micro-channel width.The results of velocity distribution and viscosity distribution reveal that the microscale effect is very strong when the channel is narrow. Furthermore,while the width becomes wider,the microscale effect grows weaker and the flow characteristic is closer to the macroscale Poiseuille flow.
