摘要
•Children with hearing loss often have difficulty with language and peer interaction.•Peer interaction appears to affect language abilities in inclusive preschools.•We used new objective measurement tools to detect when peers spoke to one another.•Input from individual peers predicted vocalizations to those same peers over time.•Speech from peers, mediated by speech to peers, predicted higher language abilities.
