Gain Enhancement of Patch Antenna Using Metasurface Lens

摘要
This paper proposes a high-gain transmitting lens antenna with a metasurface lens. The lens unit consists of a rectangular metal ring and a square patch inside. In this work we use the X-band microstrip antenna as the feed source. Through this structure, a transmission phase range of $[-178^{\circ},179^{\circ}]$ is realized, the gain of the patch antenna increases by 12.58dB, and the efficiency of the lens antenna reaches 35.92%. This lens antenna provides a new choice for high-gain antennas.
