摘要
Eosinophils are known to have antiviral and proinflammatory properties. Recent literature has described that eosinophilia (an absolute eosinophil count >0.15 x103 cells/μL) is protective against severe COVID-19 illness as well as COVID-19-related mortality in patients with asthma. However, this relationship requires further investigation, especially in relation with inhaled corticosteroid (iCS) use.
