Eosinophilia is Associated with Improved COVID-19 Outcomes in Patients Treated with Inhaled Corticosteroids
Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology(2022)
摘要
Eosinophils are known to have antiviral and proinflammatory properties. Recent literature has described that eosinophilia (an absolute eosinophil count >0.15 x103 cells/μL) is protective against severe COVID-19 illness as well as COVID-19-related mortality in patients with asthma. However, this relationship requires further investigation, especially in relation with inhaled corticosteroid (iCS) use.
