Electric Discharge Grinding (EDG)

This chapter introduces electrical discharge grinding (EDG) and Electrical discharge abrasive grinding (EDAG) as unconventional hybrid material removal processes. The material removal mechanism of these spark erosion-assisted grinding processes is described in detail. This chapter also outlines the influence of various process parameters on the responses, such as material removal rates, surface quality, and electrode wear. In short, the applications of these processes are also highlighted.
