摘要
•Though less O2-dissociation active, Cu(111) get oxidized easier than Cu(100) in O2.•(2√2 × √2)R45o missing-row reconstruction seems to slow down Cu(100) oxidation.•A running ion gauge induces extra copper oxidation in 10−4 Torr O2.
