摘要
Chlorophyll-a (Chla) is one of the water properties that can cause algal bloom. In many studies, remote sensing has been successfully applied in monitoring Chla. In this study, we used remotely sensed data and algorithms to extract water surface Chla concentration in the Bushehr area of the Persian Gulf. To implement the Chla extraction algorithm, the Landsat 8 OLI images and MODIS products, including MOD09, MOD02, and MYD09, have been used. The results showed that the Chla content of the studied area was less than 6 mg/m 3 , which is not significant based on the standards. The results obtained from three algorithms OC3M, OC2M, and OC2M-HI for the MOD02 MODIS product emphasized that Chla in the Bushehr port was more than in other regions. According to the accuracy evaluation, the estimation of Chla obtained from MOD02 is more reliable than MOD09.
