Origin of spinel-hosted mineral inclusions in mantle peridotite from Setogawa in the Circum-Izu Massif Serpentine Belt, central Japan: Implications for the chromitite genesis
Ore Geology Reviews(2022)
摘要
•Chromites that contain globular mineral inclusions are found in mantle harzburgites.•They are the same as those in chromitites and related plutonic rocks.•They form essentially via decomposition of mantle orthopyroxenes assisted by melt.•Some of the chromite grains in stratiform chromitite are possibly of mantle origin.
