Mineral prospectivity mapping based on wavelet neural network and Monte Carlo simulations in the Nanling W-Sn metallogenic province

•Wavelet-based neural network with Monto Carlo simulation is introduced for data-driven mineral prospectivity mapping.•The proposed algorithm alleviates the data imbalance issue and accesses the uncertainties in mineral prospectivity mapping.•We present a mineral prospectivity map of W-Sn ore deposits in the Nanling metallogenic province, China.
